Overview
We are seeking an
Operations Specialist Trade Management to support securities trade processing and client service operations within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is responsible for processing, validating, repairing, and monitoring trade instructions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing high volumes of transactions while communicating effectively with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Trade Processing & Operations
- Process client trade instructions received through multiple channels
- Review, validate, authenticate, and route trade instructions for processing
- Enter trades into internal systems, including manual trade entry when required
- Perform quality checks and edit reviews on electronic and manually submitted trades
- Process complex and client-specific trade instructions
- Verify transaction details through established dual-control processes
- Release validated instructions to internal teams and external markets as required
Issue Resolution & Risk Management
- Identify missing, incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate trade information
- Research and resolve transaction issues using established procedures, systems, and client documentation
- Escalate known or potential issues to management in a timely manner
- Identify market-related issues and communicate resolution requirements directly to clients
- Monitor instruction quality and identify trends that improve straight-through processing (STP)
Client Service & Communication
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding trade exceptions and processing requirements
- Provide updates and expected resolution timelines based on market knowledge and operational procedures
- Deliver exceptional client service while managing multiple priorities
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze transaction trends and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency
- Support process improvement initiatives that enhance service quality and transaction accuracy
- Contribute to improving client experience and operational effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in trade operations, securities processing, custody operations, settlements, or financial services operations
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
- Understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycle processes
- Experience working with transaction processing systems and operational controls
- Knowledge of straight-through processing (STP) concepts and operational efficiency initiatives
