Requirements:

Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.

8:00 am and 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

Answers to qualifying questions must be verifiable within the work and/or educational history.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• At least one (1) year of experience in procurement, accounting, finance, or other business-related field.

Overview:

This position has financial disclosure responsibility in accordance with Section 112.3145, F.S.

The commission expects employees to be courteous and respectful, while assisting Commission customers and stakeholders, ensure each encounter is as positive as possible. Employees should promptly resolve questions or problems related to the commission, it's programs and/or fish and wildlife resources. Employees should seek to gain public support for agency objectives and programs by serving Florida's citizens in a positive and proactive manner, and by listening to what the customer wants and striving to meet their needs. When appropriate, employees will explain the reasons for the agency's actions or decisions while communicating a consistent FWC point-of-view.

Responsible for the following provisions and requirements in section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC's invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.

Work at FWC is cross-functional meaning duties may cross division/office lines. The commission expects employees to function across FWC's organizational structure by providing their skills and expertise, wherever needed through work on teams or as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Procurement - Responsible for assisting in the timely and accurate processing and/or approval of purchase requisitions in the States automated procurement system MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP). Reviews for accuracy and compliance with Laws, Rules, and Commission policy. Complies with Chapter 287, Florida Statutes and 60A, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).
• Solicitation - Responsible for issuing Invitation to Bid, Requests for Proposals, Invitations to Negotiate, and other solicitations, as appropriate. Provides information and support to agency staff in the solicitation process, including developing the scope of work and other documentation. Attends pre-bid conferences and evaluates bids/proposals for responsiveness and responsibility of vendors making submissions. Applies State Laws, Rules, and Commission Policy in the development and management of the solicitation process. Prepares and maintains required solicitation documentation.
• Attend training and conferences as necessary.
• Performs other duties and special projects as required.
• Assists in developing documentation, manuals, or procedures related to the Commissions procurement practices.
