    Description

    Savage is looking for an Operations Manager to lead a specialized team in planning, organizing, and managing one of our rail operations in Toledo, OH, ensuring railcar switching and logistics services are performed safely, in an environmentally friendly manner, and efficiently.

    What you'll be doing:

    Participate in budget preparation, management of profit and loss, and daily communication with customers and railroads on scheduling and other issues to ensure a smooth and safe operation.Possesses experience and knowledge with;

    Locomotive in plant-switching operationsTrack Maintenance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    College degree preferred3+ years of management experience5+ years of railcar switching and loading experience preferred

    Some physical requirements and working conditions:

    This position requires working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditionsMust be able to work outdoors in various climates for up to 12 hours, lift and carry at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis, climb steps and ladders, work, walk, and stand on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of timeShould have the ability to use basic hand tools
