Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will report into the General Manager and be responsible for:

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Drive operational performance through effective planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and mentor production supervisors, team leaders, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) focused on efficiency, quality, throughput, and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support new product introductions and process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Manage staffing, training, succession planning, and employee development efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Foster a culture centered around teamwork, accountability, operational excellence, and employee engagement.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Progressive manufacturing leadership experience within a precision machining, aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading production teams and driving measurable operational improvements.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and performance management.
  • Experience managing production scheduling, capacity planning, and operational metrics.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or contract manufacturing environments highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence across departments and effectively lead change initiatives.
