    Description

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Operational Leadership

    • Lead all operational aspects of the CSTS Division.
    • Oversee daily operations for confined space monitoring, atmospheric monitoring, communication systems, accountability systems, and other technology services.
    • Develop staffing plans and schedules to support customer projects throughout the Gulf Coast and other operating regions.
    • Coordinate technician assignments, mobilizations, demobilizations, and equipment deployment.
    • Review and approve employee timecards and payroll hours to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
    • Monitor labor utilization, overtime, scheduling efficiency, and workforce productivity.
    • Ensure field personnel are properly trained, certified, and equipped before deployment.
    • Oversee equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, calibration records, repairs, and asset utilization.
    • Develop and implement operational processes that improve efficiency, service quality, and scalability.

    Customer & Project Management

    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
    • Serve as the primary operational contact for CSTS customers.
    • Participate in project planning meetings and customer coordination calls.
    • Ensure services are delivered safely, professionally, and according to customer expectations.
    • Resolve operational issues quickly while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
    • Support business development by identifying opportunities for additional technology and monitoring services.

    Financial Management

    • Manage division budgets and operating expenses.
    • Monitor project profitability, labor costs, equipment utilization, and operational performance.
    • Forecast staffing needs, equipment requirements, and operational expenses.
    • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through operational efficiencies.
    • Support contract reviews, pricing strategies, and operational planning.

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, coordinators, technicians, and support staff.
    • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
    • Conduct employee performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
    • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning.
    • Support employee development through technical training and leadership opportunities.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Champion Code Red Safety's safety-first culture.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, confined space standards, customer requirements, and company policies.
    • Ensure all monitoring equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and documented.
    • Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain compliance with DOT, DISA, ISNetworld, Avetta, and customer contractor requirements where applicable.

    Strategic Planning

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop division goals and growth strategies.
    • Evaluate emerging confined space technologies and recommend improvements to service offerings.
    • Develop operational KPIs and provide regular reporting to executive leadership.
    • Support acquisitions, technology integrations, and expansion initiatives.
    • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and operational excellence.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
    • Minimum of 7 years of operations leadership experience within industrial services, confined space operations, safety services, or related industries.
    • Experience managing field operations, workforce scheduling, and multiple customer projects.
    • Experience overseeing employee scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll approvals.
    • Strong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting and labor management.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to travel as required.
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

    Preferred

    • Experience with confined space monitoring technology and industrial safety equipment.
    • Knowledge of OSHA confined space regulations and industrial safety best practices.
    • Experience with gas detection equipment, wireless monitoring systems, accountability systems, and industrial communications.
    • Experience using workforce management systems such as UKG.
    • OSHA 30, COSS, or other applicable industrial safety certifications.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational management software.
    • Knowledge of equipment asset management and preventive maintenance programs.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to travel frequently to customer sites and industrial facilities.
    • Ability to work extended hours during plant turnarounds and outages.
    • Ability to access industrial facilities, including climbing stairs, walking long distances, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
