Job Description
We are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in print device support, incident resolution, and system monitoring and a proven ability to manage onsite operations, meet SLAs, and drive customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and support assigned technology areas with moderate risk and complexity, including print devices and related software.
- Monitor systems, detect performance issues, and resolve technical incidents using established protocols.
- Conduct routine installations, configurations, and scripted change activities while following incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Provide timely responses to service, product, and customer-relations inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Resolve most technical incidents independently and collaborate on complex or cross-technology issues with team members.
- Identify incident trends, potential escalations, and proactively alert management as needed.
- Apply HP solutions to meet customer needs and balance internal and customer priorities within defined parameters.
- Manage consumable inventory, replace toner and paper, clear jams, and ensure adequate supplies at customer sites.
- Assist end users with device functionality and perform initial troubleshooting and device swaps with spares as needed.
- Coordinate with HP software-branded support and report customer dissatisfaction to CSM/SDM.
- Collect usage pages per device as needed and maintain production goals and contract response times.
- Support small projects and contribute input to assigned account plans and delivery decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of HP products and services with core competencies in OS, networking, and HP applications.
- Experience with print device maintenance, consumable management, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
- Effective communication with technical staff and management levels and strong active listening skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and propose practical solutions.
- Basic project management, analytical, and documentation skills with attention to process compliance.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED/Higher Secondary or equivalent experience. Bachelor's preferred or Associate in a technical field with 4-6 years desired.
- Experience: 2-5 years in related work, preferably maintenance or quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Customer-facing onsite support experience with SLA-driven environments.
- Familiarity with incident, change, and problem management frameworks.

Work Arrangement: Full time at the Customer Site. Onsite presence required in San Francisco, CA. Business Casual dress code. Client interface required. No overtime required.
