Job Description
We are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant II (Onsite Administrator - Print, OSA Level II) to join our team in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in device support, print environment operations, incident resolution, and customer service and a proven ability to monitor systems, resolve technical issues, and deliver consistent onsite support.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor systems to detect performance issues and resolve technical problems on assigned hardware, software, and print devices using established protocols.
- Identify incident trends, escalate appropriately within defined timeframes, and follow incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Conduct routine installations, configurations, and integrations in accordance with standard procedures.
- Respond to service, product, technical, and customer-relations inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Execute approved scripted change activities while maintaining service quality and compliance.
- Meet daily production goals and contract-required response times.
- Collaborate with teams to align work with strategy and support process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to standards and data confidentiality while supporting business processes with independent judgment.
- Complete process-oriented assignments, share technical information, and support operational plans with minimal supervision.
Onsite Administrator (Print) - OSA Level II Duties:
- Manage consumable inventory for print devices and ensure adequate supplies at customer sites.
- Replace toner, consumables, and paper, and clear paper jams.
- Assist end users with device functionality and initial troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with HP for software-branded support and report customer dissatisfaction to CSM/SDM.
- Collect device usage pages and swap devices with spares as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of HP products and service offerings and core technical competencies (OS, networking, HP applications).
- Experience supporting print environments, device maintenance, and incident resolution within defined procedures.
- Effective communication with technical audiences and management, with strong active listening skills.
- Proactive and reactive problem-solving skills with ability to set priorities and implement practical solutions.
- Basic project management, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED/Higher Secondary or equivalent experience. Bachelor's preferred or Associate degree in a technical field with 2-6 years of related experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in maintenance or quality roles within enterprise customer environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident, change, and problem management processes.
Additional Details:
- Work On Site Required: Yes. Candidate must reside in San Francisco, CA or commute daily to the customer site.
