Job Description
We are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant II (Onsite Administrator - Print, OSA Level II) to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in printer fleet support, device troubleshooting, consumables management, and customer service and a proven ability to resolve incidents, execute routine installations and configurations, and maintain service levels within established protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor systems to detect performance issues and resolve technical problems on assigned hardware and software using established protocols.
- Identify incident trends, escalate within defined timeframes, and follow incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Conduct routine installations and configurations, assemble and integrate systems and products per standards.
- Respond to service, product, technical, and customer-relations inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Execute approved scripted change activities and maintain service quality and compliance.
- Meet daily production goals and contract-required response times.
- Align work with operational strategy and collaborate to implement process improvements.
- Protect data confidentiality and support business processes with independent judgment.
- Manage small projects or programs and provide input to delivery decisions for assigned accounts.
Onsite Administrator (OSA) Level II Duties:
- Manage consumable inventory and ensure availability at customer sites.
- Replace toner, consumables, and paper and clear paper jams.
- Assist end users with device functionality and initial troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with HP software branded support and report customer dissatisfaction to CSM/SDM.
- Collect usage pages per device as needed and swap devices with spares when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of HP products and services offerings, including print devices.
- Core technical competencies across OS, networking fundamentals, and HP applications.
- Effective communication with technical teams and first- and middle-level management.
- Active listening and ability to tailor messages to the audience.
- Problem-solving skills, including proactive and reactive approaches and creative thinking.
- Ability to prioritize, propose practical solutions, and suggest operational efficiencies.
- Basic project management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Customer service orientation with experience in incident, change, and problem management processes.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 2-5 years of related experience in maintenance, quality, or a related technical field.
Work Conditions:
- Full time at the customer site in Palo Alto, CA.
- Business casual dress code.
- Client interface required and onsite work required.
- No overtime required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting enterprise print environments and fleet management.
- Familiarity with HP incident, change, and problem management tools.
