This is a hands-on role where you'll start by learning our day-to-day office operations and grow into taking ownership of the daily workflow. No sand and gravel experience? No problem. We'll train the right person.

As a locally and family-owned, ODOT-certified supplier, we provide high-quality sand, gravel, aggregates, and landscape stone to contractors, landscapers, municipalities, and homeowners. You'll begin by focusing on customer service, learning our products, and getting comfortable with our scale and office systems. As you gain experience, you'll take on more accounting tasks, scheduling, and overall office coordination, eventually becoming a confident, independent leader of our daily office operations while working closely with ownership.
• Be the voice of Beck: Answer incoming calls and help customers with material questions, pricing, availability, and general inquiries.
• Know our products: Learn our sand, gravel, and stone offerings so you can confidently assist customers by phone and in person.
• Run the scale: Operate our scale ticketing system, process customer transactions, and keep accurate records.
• Handle the books: Enter vendor bills, customer payments, and other transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Keep paperwork flowing: Process incoming mail, organize invoices and documents, and prepare outgoing payments and correspondence.
• Coordinate orders and deliveries: Assist with customer orders and quotes, schedule deliveries, and communicate with our drivers.
• Solve problems: Spot issues, follow through on tasks, and take initiative to resolve routine problems independently.
• Keep it organized: Maintain well-organized records and help daily office operations run smoothly.
• Strong organizational skills and dependability; you follow through on what you start.
• Comfort with computers and office software; QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.
• Clear, professional communication with customers, coworkers, and drivers.
• A friendly, approachable, team-oriented work style.
• The ability to stay calm and de-escalate under pressure during busy or stressful moments.
• Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks throughout the day in a small-business setting.
• Industry experience is not required. We provide on-the-job training.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Seasonal Saturdays: Every other Saturday is required during our busy summer season
• Pay: $20.00-$23.00/ per hour, based on experience
