Position Overview

A respected Charlotte investment firm is seeking a professional, customer-focused Temporary Receptionist to support daily office operations during a short-term coverage assignment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming office environment, providing exceptional customer service, and handling a variety of administrative and facilities-related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and visitors, escort guests to conference rooms, and provide a polished first impression.
  • Offer beverages to guests and prepare conference rooms before and after meetings.
  • Maintain kitchen, break room, and common areas by keeping them clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Monitor inventory levels for office supplies, snacks, and beverages and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Receive, sort, scan, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Unpack office supply and snack shipments as they arrive.
  • Coordinate weekly UPS Store runs and other light errands as needed.
  • Lift and move cases of bottled water, soft drinks, and other office supplies.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous receptionist, front desk, administrative assistant, hospitality, or office support experience preferred.
  • Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to create a welcoming environment.
  • Organized, dependable, and proactive with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable performing light physical tasks, including lifting cases of beverages and unpacking deliveries.
  • Reliable transportation for occasional local UPS Store runs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
