The Office Assistant II is a part-time, non-exempt position within the Financial Aid/Veterans Office, reporting to coordinators in Student Development.
It serves as the first point of contact for students and parents, providing guidance, resolving issues related to financial aid, and assisting with documentation.
Key duties include assisting via multiple communication channels, scheduling appointments, verifying required documents, scanning submissions, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and HEA laws.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, two years of office experience, effective communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and customer service abilities.
Preferred qualifications include experience in higher education, familiarity with financial aid processes and systems, bilingual skills, and cultural competence.
