Location: Tuscaloosa, AL

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 7 months
  • Start: ASAP
  • Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:30 PM, with some overtime as needed
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours per week, some overtime as needed
  • Travel Requirements: Not required

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal in maintaining a seamless department workflow and supporting our internal teams through high-level administrative coordination. You will work closely with departments such as Production, Finance, and EHS to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Manage complex schedules, coordinate meetings, and handle all professional correspondence and reporting for the department.
  • Data & Documentation: Execute high-volume data entry, manage purchase order requisitions, and resolve discrepancies with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Digital Content: Create and maintain polished Google Presentations, Sheets, and communication materials for internal and external use.
  • Reporting: Gather, structure, and compile departmental data into comprehensive reports for leadership review.
  • Operational Liaison: Facilitate postal duties, maintain digital and physical filing systems, and manage production entry.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive personnel and financial information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Manage payroll processes
  • Perform time and attendance tracking
  • Handle filing management
  • Coordinate event and meal planning
  • Manage office supplies purchasing
  • Coordinate charitable donations
  • Serve as a point of contact for select vendors
  • Serve on the employee appreciation committee

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar)
  • Direct experience managing purchase order (PO) requisitions
  • Ability to handle sensitive personnel and financial information with discretion and professionalism
  • Experience with high-volume data entry and resolving discrepancies with a high degree of accuracy

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience supporting Production, Finance, EHS, HR, or Payroll teams is highly desired
  • Experience working in a union environment is a plus

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Required Experience

  • 3 years of professional administrative experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • While this is an office-based role, the selected candidate may be required to walk through or work within plant areas.
  • Candidates must be cleared by their supplier to wear safety shoes (steel-toed boots), eye/ear protection, and other required PPE.
  • Safety shoes are fully reimbursable through our VNDLY system.

Interview Process

  • 1st round: HRBP and Plant Manager via Google Meet
  • 2nd round: Panel style, on-site, with Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, Quality Manager, and Engineering Manager
