Your morning may start with a stand-up alongside GM Design Release Engineering, Program Teams, and Cyber Security, aligning on part readiness and supplier timing. By midday, you’re validating component performance at a proving ground run or a design bench, then closing the loop in GM’s release systems to keep change management on track. In the afternoon, you’re parsing vehicle component logs, pushing software updates across tracking and bench environments, and partnering with GM-directed fascia/interior suppliers to clear the path for launch.

What you will own

  • Drive development and release of assigned parts into GM systems in coordination with GM Design Release Engineers and Program Teams, including Cyber Security stakeholders.
  • Manage change control activities within parts release databases, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Support product development, testing, and validation at proving grounds, pre-production locations, design benches, and supplier sites.
  • Provide flexible, hands-on help to supplier resident teams to remove roadblocks.
  • Upload and manage software updates across multiple tracking and bench systems.
  • Collect, interpret, and diagnose vehicle component log files to identify issues and recommend fixes.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent blend of education and at least two years of automotive experience).
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of RF, BLE, UWB, in-vehicle communication networks, and Cyber Security principles.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic data tools and programming utilities, such as Vector CANoe/Vehicle Spy or similar connectivity toolchains.
