What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with occupational health staff to manage patient cases and work-related injuries
- Support operations at a busy occupational health clinic within a meat packing plant
- Perform procedures including joint injections, aspirations, suturing, splinting, and vaccinations
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as PFT results and lab imaging
- Manage work restrictions, return-to-work evaluations, and case documentation
- Ensure compliance with occupational health protocols and OSHA standards
- Support workers’ compensation case management
What You Need
Required:- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Occupational Medicine or related specialty
- Michigan state license
- DEA license
- BLS and DOT/FMCSA certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Preferred:- Experience with occupational injury and illness management, musculoskeletal injuries, lab and imaging interpretation, and work-related procedures
About the Assignment
Support a dedicated occupational health clinic providing evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. You will work closely with clinical staff to develop treatment plans, manage work restrictions, and ensure safe return-to-work processes in a dynamic environment. This role offers a full-time schedule supporting adult patients, primarily at a busy occupational health unit.
