OB TECHNICIAN

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION A person who under the direction and supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse, provides patient care functions to the childbearing patient and her family within the SRMC philosophy and related to a variety of patient/family needs. Manages instrumentation and the stocking of supplies, assists with the delivery process as needed and assists physicians with Cesarean Sections. QUALIFICATIONS Professional/Educational At least 16 years of age. Basic computer skills preferred. Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Currently certified by IDPH as a CNA or successful completion of the first level of RN clinical education from an accredited school of nursing, or surgical tech experience and/or completion of a surgical technologist/surgical assistant program DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required. Personal Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct. Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others. Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty. Ability to follow directions accurately. Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
