We are seeking an experienced Nutanix Resident Engineer to support the administration, optimization, and ongoing success of enterprise Nutanix environments. This SME (Subject Matter Expert) will serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing expertise across infrastructure operations, automation, application migrations, security, and lifecycle management. This position is primarily remote within the United States, with occasional travel for customer meetings or project activities. Travel is expected to be minimal and generally limited to one or two onsite meetings per year.

THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A NUTANIX CONSULTANT:
- Provide ongoing Day-2 operational support for enterprise Nutanix environments, including administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Support and maintain Nutanix infrastructure across virtualization, storage, networking, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on support for Nutanix Leap and Disaster Recovery (DR), including configuration, testing, troubleshooting, failover, recovery, and related operational activities.
- Implement and support Nutanix Flow, micro-segmentation, and security policy management.
- Troubleshoot networking, connectivity, segmentation, and security-related issues within Nutanix environments.
- Support Nutanix automation and orchestration workflows.
- Plan and execute application and workload migrations to Nutanix platforms.
- Provide Nutanix technical expertise, operational guidance, and knowledge transfer to customer teams.
- Document changes to deployed architecture and maintain accurate technical and operational documentation.
- Prepare weekly status reports using established customer procedures.
- Collaborate with customer technical teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve the stability and performance of the Nutanix environment.
YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE EVERYTHING ABOVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE LIKE:
- 7+ years experience supporting large-scale enterprise Nutanix deployments
- Previous experience working specifically as a Nutanix Resident with strong hands-on Day-2 responsibilities - including administration, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, maintenance, and optimization.
- Hands-on Nutanix Leap / Disaster Recovery experience. High priority.
- Strong enterprise networking experience and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with or strong working knowledge of Nutanix Flow. Experience implementing and supporting micro-segmentation and security policy management (Strong Networking experience / Nutanix Flow experience/knowledge)

- Strong knowledge of virtualization, storage, networking, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Experience with Nutanix automation and orchestration workflows.
- Experience planning and executing application or workload migrations to Nutanix platforms.
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification, or ability to obtain the certification within 60 days of the start date.
- Strong documentation, communication, customer-facing, and knowledge-transfer skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret clearance preferred, or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to work primarily remotely with occasional onsite travel.

Expected travel is minimal, typically no more than one or two onsite meetings per year
Pay: up to $150,000 per year
