    Job Summary:

    The Manager of Emergency Services provides nursing leadership and operational oversight for a high-acuity Emergency Department within a Level II Trauma Center. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through effective management of daily operations, staffing, and clinical performance. The Manager works closely with the ED Director and hospital leadership to drive outcomes, maintain compliance, and support staff in delivering exceptional emergency care.

    Responsibilities:

    Oversee daily operations, staffing, and patient flow within the Emergency Department

    Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care

    Monitor and evaluate clinical practices in alignment with established policies and procedures

    Hold staff accountable for quality, safety, and clinical outcomes

    Lead and support a team of approximately 90 FTEs

    Collaborate with ED Director and hospital leadership to meet departmental and organizational goals

    Drive performance improvement initiatives and support operational efficiencies

    Maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation standards

    Requirements:

    Minimum 3+ years of recent (within the last year) acute care Emergency Department leadership experience required

    Charge Nurse ED experience will be considered; manager-level experience strongly preferred

    Experience in high-acuity or trauma-designated facilities preferred

    Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required

    BSN preferred or actively pursuing (must complete within 2 years of hire)

    Active RN license or compact license required

    ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire

    TNCC certification required within 90 days of hire

    NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 90 days of hire

    ENPC or PALS certification required within 90 days of hire

    Schedule: Days

    Setting:

    340+ bed acute care hospital

    Level II Trauma Center

    Emergency Department with 24 main beds and 12 hallway beds

    Approximately 100 patients per day volume

    Includes Pediatric Emergency Department and freestanding ER sites

    Part of HCA Midwest Health system
