    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager for Behavioral Health to oversee the operations of our psychiatric and mental health unit. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, managing nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines. This leadership role requires strong clinical expertise in behavioral health, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to behavioral health nursing staff.

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in psychiatric nursing.

    • Manage staffing schedules, assignments, and resource allocation to ensure safe and effective patient care.

    • Oversee patient care quality, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).

    • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.

    • Monitor and address patient safety concerns, including crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies.

    • Lead initiatives to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and staff engagement.

    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.

    • Manage departmental budgets, supply inventory, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.

    • Support and implement trauma-informed care approaches and evidence-based treatment models.

    • Respond to psychiatric emergencies, ensuring appropriate interventions and crisis management.

    Job Qualifications

    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Other-Fingerprint Required
    • Registered Nurse
    • Associate Degree
     MUST HAVE 5 YEARS BH EXPERIENCE MIN 2 YEARS LEADERSHIP IN BH IN AN ACUTE CARE SETTING

    Compensation: $38.50 - $55.60 per hour
