    A Nurse Manager opportunity in the Emergency Department is available at an 895+ bed tertiary care center in Dallas, TX, offering both a full-service adult hospital and a dedicated pediatric hospital with separate adult and pediatric emergency rooms.

    The role. Reporting through hospital leadership, the Nurse Manager – ED is accountable for the full scope of planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services delivered within the Emergency Department. The manager establishes and sustains effective working relationships across patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors while collaborating with department management counterparts to ensure nursing care is delivered in conformance with recognized techniques, procedures, and administrative standards. A significant focus of this role is developing and recommending policies, procedures, and programs — in partnership with medical staff and other disciplines — to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient care. The position also carries responsibility for budget preparation, physician relationship management, and the coordination of a multi-disciplinary team to resolve operational and patient care issues on an ongoing basis.

    What we're looking for.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Advanced degree preferred
    • Current RN License in the State of Texas or compact license
    • AHA or ARC BLS provider
    • AHA or ARC, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months
    • TNCC is required within 18 months
    • ENPC or CEN within 18 months
    • Five years of recent progressive management experience, including management of staff and supervisory positions, budget preparation, physician relationship management, resolution of operational and patient care issues, demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, and coordination of a multi-disciplinary team
    • ED experience is required

    Schedule. Full-time, days, no weekends.

    Compensation. $51.17 - $51.17/hr plus $20,000 sign-on bonus
