Description

Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location:
Charlotte North Carolina 28210

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40

Shift Information: Mon-Fri 0700-1530, with rotating weekend call

Clinical Interviewing- No

On Call, Call Back Requirements: On call only, every 3rd weekend 8h, 7a-2p (Sat & Sun only)

Weekend Rotation: Call Only

Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

About Facility:
  • Total licensed beds are 373 (344 Acute & 29 Inpatient Rehab)
    • ED = 30 beds
    • ICU = 46 beds
    • PCU = 40 beds
    • Observation = 70 beds
    • OR Suites = 14
  • No trauma designation
  • We offer X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, with Radiology Nursing support.
  • TJC Stroke accredited
  • Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Department Information:
  • Average Inpatient Census is around 400
  • Department performs an average of 7-10 studies/day
  • Staffed Monday-Friday 7a-4p, on-call on the weekends
Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler: yes

  • ED, Inpatient units, Observation units, and Outpatient
  • General and Cardiac nuclear imaging
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
  • Registered by either the ARRT(N) or NMTCB required
  • BLS
Skills required:
  • Nuclear Medicine certification
  • PET/CT experience (preferred)
Support within the Department:
  • Guest Services/Trasport for IP, Obs and ED patients.
  • Radiology Nursing support for Cardiac imaging.
Technology/Equipment:
  • EMR: EPIC
  • RIS: Epic Radiant
  • PACS: Philips iSite
Department specific Equipment:
  • Client Infinia
  • Client Ventri
Floating: No

Orientation (facility and unit):
  • Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review, etc.) 1 day
  • 2 days to 1 week departmental (as needed)
