Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an outpatient adult cardiology clinic, requiring 2+ years of experience in nuclear cardiology and stress/Amyloid (PYP) imaging.

Details

  • Outpatient adult cardiology clinic setting performing cardiology studies exclusively
  • Patient ratio of 1:4 with an average daily census of 10-12 patients
  • Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including coronary artery disease, pre-op clearance, chest pain, and shortness of breath
  • Procedures include Rest/Stress testing and Amyloid (PYP) studies
  • Myocardial imaging skills required include Exercise/Rest-Multiple, Exercise/Rest-Single, and Pharmacological Stress
  • Uses Hot Lab equipment, Dose Calibrator, Well Counter, and (2) Spectrum Dynamics DSPECT cameras
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No call, float, or weekend requirements
  • 13-week contract with potential for 40 hours per week

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required
  • Current BLS and ARRT(N) or CNMT certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • ACLS and NMTCB certifications preferred
  • Must be able to start and maintain peripheral IVs
  • Experience with storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials required
  • Experience in adult and nuclear cardiology work settings required
  • Outpatient clinic experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Perform stress testing and Amyloid (PYP) cardiac imaging studies for an outpatient cardiology practice
  • 40-hour in-clinic orientation provided
  • Scrubs not provided; royal blue preferred
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply
  • Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a lower pay rate
  • Former Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as a travamateler
  • Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved as long as it does not fall on a holiday, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
  • Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
  • Travel pairs are allowed if on different units and disclosed at submission
