Join a growing North Jersey General Contractor as an Assistant Project Manager supporting commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Work alongside experienced project teams while gaining hands-on exposure to scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and project execution.

Description

Assist Project Managers with day-to-day construction project management

Support projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout

Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation

Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and owners

Assist with project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, and procurement

Attend project and subcontractor meetings

Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress

Help identify and resolve project issues to maintain schedule

Assist with punch list completion and project closeout

Maintain communication between field and office project teams

Profile

A successful North Jersey Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • 2+ years of construction experience, preferably with a General Contractor
  • Experience supporting commercial construction projects
  • Understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors and project teams
  • Knowledge of construction schedules, budgets, and project controls
  • Proficiency with construction/project management software
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred

Job Offer
