Niner Transit Field Dispatch Route Supervisor

The Route Supervisor position is responsible for coordinating onsite with our drivers and our customers at The University of North Carolina Charlotte Niner Transit.

Core responsibilities of the Route Supervisor are handling and responding to Operations inquiries, issues and instructions during the course of the workday in a professional manner and providing excellent customer service to our clients. Starting at $25.00-$27.00 per hour.

This is a full-time position and requires a flexible work schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and busy travel days immediately before and after holidays.

Route Supervisor Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinating drivers as needed for daily operations
• Process all paperwork according to policies and procedures
• Communicate information clearly and concisely via direct connect radio or phone
• Accurately log and document all vehicles used and required details
• Provides updates to Field supervisors, Dispatch and/or Operations as needed
• Ensures that all safety procedures are followed in the field
• Present and visible in the loading areas to provide assistance as required

Route Supervisor Preferred Characteristics:

• Capable of managing hectic and time sensitive situations while maintaining good customer relations
• Ability to properly operate communication equipment
• Good organization skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely
• Previous industry related experience with bus transportation is a plus

Route Supervisor Requirements:

• CDL
• Passenger Endorsement
• Good Driving Record
• Flexible day/evening/weekend/holiday hours
