NCSOS - Developer/Programmer- Junior

Responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting in-house client/server computer applications for the department. - Manage, design, develop, and support new computer applications using Microsoft Project Manager and modern programming tools.

Job Summary (List Format):

- Part-time position, 20 hours per week during core business hours (8AM - 5PM).
- Initially onsite, then transitioning to a hybrid work schedule.
- Responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting in-house client/server computer applications for the department.
- Collaborate in an interactive team environment, providing programming expertise, leadership, guidance, and training to team members.
- Analyze existing and potential applications to assess project feasibility, estimate time and costs, and define benefits for the department and state.
- Develop and implement automated solutions to departmental challenges.
- Maintain and enhance existing SOSKB application.
- Develop additional SOS application functionality to support the NC Remote Electronic Notarization Act (RENA).
- Manage, design, develop, and support new computer applications using Microsoft Project Manager and modern programming tools.
- Utilize technologies such as C#, MS-SQL, HTML5, Asp.Net MVC, Javascript, JQuery, Windows Desktop, and Windows Server for application and database development.
- Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Required skills: At least 1 year of experience each in C#, SQL Server, HTML5, Asp.Net, MVC, and Javascript.
