NCDOT - Low-Code Developer- Microsoft Power Platform Expert

Lead the upgrade and development of an existing Geotechnical Application using Microsoft Power Platform technologies (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse). - Serve as an Expert Level Low Code Application Developer for the North Carolina Department of IT - Transportation (NCDIT-T) on a 12-month engagement.

- Serve as an Expert Level Low Code Application Developer for the North Carolina Department of IT - Transportation (NCDIT-T) on a 12-month engagement.
- Lead the upgrade and development of an existing Geotechnical Application using Microsoft Power Platform technologies (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain low-code web applications and related solutions.
- Debug, optimize, and support existing low-code applications and workflows.
- Collaborate with project teams, analysts, and other developers on solution design and delivery.
- Participate in design and planning sessions, and contribute to the formulation of technical approaches.
- Analyze, define, and document requirements related to data models, workflows, system integration, and business processes.
- Translate business requirements into user stories and technical specifications, working closely with IT management and business users.
- Coordinate solution release schedules and prepare change management documentation.
- Provide technical support, testing, and end-user training as needed.
- Report project statuses and solution progress to senior team members.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues within Power Platform solutions.
- May require occasional on-site attendance for meetings or specific tasks; must be local to the Triangle region of North Carolina.
- Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform solution development and migration.
- 5+ years of experience with MS SQL technologies (writing TSQL queries).
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps or other Agile tools (desired).
- Strong planning skills, including scope and timeline estimation (desired).
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
