Job Summary (Junior Java Developer NC FAST Project)

- Assist in the development and implementation of NC FAST projects for NC DHHS.
- Write and execute JUnit and JMockit test scripts for developer unit testing.
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement Java-based solutions.
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining new Java applications and features.
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and well-documented Java code following industry standards.
- Debug and resolve software defects to ensure application stability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving feedback to improve code quality.
- Integrate databases into applications and perform related development tasks.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca/NeoLoad.
- Contribute to system documentation and support continuous improvement of development processes.
- Stay current with new Java technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Follow SDLC best practices and support Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) as needed.
- Communicate effectively with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Prioritize tasks efficiently and work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment.
- Utilize strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address project needs.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE (4+ years).
- Experience developing and testing with JUnit and JMockit (3+ years).
- Testing web, GUI, client/server, and database applications (5+ years).
- Tricentis Tosca/NeoLoad development experience (3+ years).
- Requirements analysis and automated test case/script development (5+ years).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with SDLC and development tools (Eclipse, Git, RSA).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred/Additional Skills
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Exposure to Spring Framework, Hibernate, or related technologies.
- Experience with Curam products and shift-left automation.
- Understanding of FNS/SNAP Program Policy guidelines.
