NC DHHS SQL/Power BI Developer

Develop and implement data models by querying raw or processed data from sources such as AWS Data Lake, RDBMS (Oracle/MS SQL Server), and Excel files. - Transform complex datasets into clear and insightful visuals, including graphs, charts, and maps, to support business decision-making.

Job Summary (List Format):

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting and business intelligence needs.
- Develop and implement data models by querying raw or processed data from sources such as AWS Data Lake, RDBMS (Oracle/MS SQL Server), and Excel files.
- Write and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas and SQL queries for advanced reporting and analytics.
- Manage data integration from various sources, leveraging ETL processes, ODBC connectors, and On-premises Data Gateway architectures.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance by implementing governance policies within Power BI.
- Transform complex datasets into clear and insightful visuals, including graphs, charts, and maps, to support business decision-making.
- Monitor, optimize, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, present analytical findings, and participate in technical demonstrations and meetings.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation for all developed BI solutions.
- Stay updated with BI and data integration best practices and emerging technologies.
- (Preferred) Utilize programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, C#) for application integration as needed.
