NC DHHS SQL/Power BI Developer

Job Summary (SQL/Power BI Developer)

- Collaborate with data modernization teams to design, develop, and manage Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define business intelligence solutions.
- Utilize 3-5 years of experience in BI tool development, especially Power BI, data science, analytics, and database management (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Design, build, and optimize data models, and implement ETL processes to support business reporting needs.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and DAX formulas for data analysis and reporting.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including AWS Data Lake, cloud platforms, and Excel files.
- Implement and maintain data security, governance, and compliance within Power BI.
- Use strong visualization skills to transform complex data into interactive dashboards, charts, graphs, and maps.
- Manage On-premises Data Gateway architectures for large data volumes.
- Create technical documentation and present dashboards/reports to technical and business audiences.
- Maintain and improve report/dashboard performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Participate in daily standup meetings and provide progress updates.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and be available to work on-site 3 days per week.
