NC DHHS Senior Java and Curam Developer

Collaborate with the NC FAST Food Nutrition Services (FNS) team to design, develop, and maintain code enhancements and resolve defects based on business change requests and backlog. - Utilize strong Java and IBM Curam framework expertise to design, develop, and support underlying business rules, batch processes, and system interfaces for FNS and SNAP products.

Job Summary (List Format): Senior Java and Curam Developer NC DHHS NC FAST

- Provide business and systems analysis, modeling, design, and programming for NC FAST application development and maintenance using Java, ReactJS, and Curam technologies.
- Collaborate with the NC FAST Food Nutrition Services (FNS) team to design, develop, and maintain code enhancements and resolve defects based on business change requests and backlog.
- Support FNS payment error rate reduction initiatives, including evidence automation, case approvals, and proactive quality control (QC) alerts.
- Work with application development teams in FNS and other program areas to develop and test code according to existing and new requirements.
- Coordinate with NC FAST business teams, stakeholders, and agile teams for requirements gathering, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with the release team on source control, code builds, and release management for FNS codebase.
- Utilize strong Java and IBM Curam framework expertise to design, develop, and support underlying business rules, batch processes, and system interfaces for FNS and SNAP products.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users, and ensure compliance with project standards and best practices.
- Use tools and technologies including Eclipse, HTML, CSS, Web Services (SOAP/WSDL), Oracle, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and MS Office suite.
- Adhere to state and agency policies regarding work location, travel, and project compliance.

Required Skills/Experience:
- 7+ years of experience with J2EE, XML, and Curam (certified, preferably V8).
- 7+ years in social enterprise management and full lifecycle Curam development.
- 7+ years with Curam Enterprise Framework, Solution Modules, and technical problem-solving.
- 7+ years translating technical concepts and producing technical documentation.
- 5+ years with Curam IEG2, CERT, Eclipse, HTML, CSS, SOAP/WSDL, and Oracle.
- Experience with state government IT functions and cloud/AWS development preferred.
- Additional skills in Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Curam Web Services, Python, JavaScript, IBM Websphere are desirable.

Additional Information:
- All work performed on-site as per client discretion; some local travel may be required.
- Immediate availability preferred; max bill rate $100/hr.
- Compliance with agency requirements on absences, outsourcing, and subcontracting is mandatory.
