Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying experience in educational system or professional museum work may be substituted for the required education, on a year for year basis, to a maximum of four years.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Complete a background clearance application which includes releasing all records involving any criminal history and a valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Examination Method: Education and Experience,100%, for Preferred Service positions.
Overview
The Tennessee State Museum seeks a Museum Program Assistant to engage the public by leading historical tours and delivering educational programs at the Museum, the Tennessee State Capitol, and at off-site events. This role requires effective communication, strong public presentation skills, and a solid foundation in Tennessee history.
