Compensation: $24.00–$32.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

A day in this role

Your morning kicks off by dialing in a Mori Seiki or Takisawa lathe, confirming geometry and alignment, and running a first-piece inspection to blueprint specs. By mid-morning, you pivot to a Takumi or Hurco mill or a Bridgeport for a quick changeover, editing programs and swapping tooling to keep production flowing. After lunch, you might move to fabrication—forming parts on Amada or Bystronic press brakes or cutting profiles on Trumpf/Bystronic lasers—before finishing the day processing material on a CR Onsrud CNC router or Hydmech saw, optimizing cycle times while holding tight tolerances.

What you’ll do

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes (Mori Seiki, Takisawa, Hyundai) to produce precision components that meet quality and throughput targets.
  • Configure and run CNC mills (Takumi, Hurco), Bridgeport mills, and a Mega gundrilling machine to hit blueprint requirements and surface finishes.
  • Support fabrication by operating Bystronic and Amada press brakes and managing profiles on Trumpf and Bystronic laser cutters.
  • Process raw material and complex fixtures using CR Onsrud CNC routers and Hydmech saws.
  • Execute tooling changes, offsets, machine adjustments, and on-the-fly program edits; perform first-article inspections and in-process checks with precision metrology.

What you bring

  • 4+ years of hands-on CNC setup and operation experience; Fanuc control familiarity preferred.
  • Background across lathes, mills, press brakes, laser cutters, routers, and related metal fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T and use micrometers, gauges, and comparators confidently.
  • Experience machining stainless steels and non‑ferrous materials; CAD/CAM exposure is a plus.
  • Strong math, communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills with a safety-first, quality-focused mindset.

Core proficiencies

  • GD&T application and print interpretation
  • CNC machine setup and changeover
  • Machine geometry, alignment, and verification
  • Repeatable setups for production runs

Equipment you’ll touch

  • VMCs (3–4 axis) with Fanuc and DMG Mori controls
  • CNC lathes (2–4 axis) including Hyundai‑Wia, DMG Mori, and Takisawa
  • 5‑axis and greater VMCs (Fanuc, Haas)
  • 5‑axis and greater CNC lathes (Okuma, Mazak)
