What You'll Do:
M Street is currently seeking an Executive Chef to join our culinary leadership team at Moto. This individual will play a key role in leading kitchen operations, mentoring team members, and upholding the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and service. The ideal candidate is a confident leader, a strong communicator, and thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Lead and inspire kitchen team with a focus on training, execution, and accountability
Ensure all dishes meet our culinary standards and are executed according to recipe specs
Maintain inventory, manage prep, and support daily kitchen operations
Monitor food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness across all kitchen areas
Lead kitchen with staffing, scheduling, and operational goals
Uphold a professional and team-oriented kitchen culture
What We're Looking For:
4+ years in an Executive Chef or equivalent leadership role in fine dining
Proven longevity with previous restaurant groups (2+ years preferred)
Culinary-driven with a passion for innovation—constantly pushing creativity in flavor, technique, and plating while staying ahead of culinary trends
Expertise in product knowledge, station mastery, and prep execution
Strong organizational skills and a collaborative, positive mindset
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
