Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Perform Systems Engineering functions such as requirements decomposition and interface definition Complete use case development and preparing systems engineering artifacts as a part of program Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement customer-requested capabilitiesFollow an Agile framework to manage the backlog and document progressEnsure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsPerform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsWork with teams crossing multiple functions in order to drive data connectivity from architecture to requirements to test Minimum Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field with at least 2 years' related experience Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment dailyExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and related tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw)Should possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselinesSkills in generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as neededSelf-motivated and customer-oriented Desired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesThe candidate should have an understanding of the Systems Engineering 'V' and be capable of performing engineering analysis, requirements allocation, requirements decompositionExperience in mission analysis with skill in the development of use cases, sequence diagrams, and creation of Interface DocumentsExperience with requirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower-level subsystems and componentsExperience using Atlassian Tools such as JIRAFamiliar with Agile terminology and best practicesExpert in all MS Office applications and familiarity with DOORSFamiliar with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) Security ClearanceCandidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Defense programs.
