Job Description

Manage multiple public works construction projects from award through completion. Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractor management, and client communications. Coordinate with public agencies, consultants, architects, engineers, and inspectors. Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, CPM schedules, and project documentation. Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to ownership and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with agency requirements, contract specifications, safety standards, and regulatory obligations. Manage project financials including forecasting, billing, cost controls, and buyouts. Support procurement and coordination of long-lead materials and subcontractors. Drive successful project closeout, punch-list completion, and turnover documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have: 5+ years of project management experience with a general contractor. Proven experience delivering public sector projects in New York City. Experience working with agencies such as SCA, NYC Health + Hospitals, DASNY, NYCHA, DDC, DCAS, or other municipal entities. Strong understanding of public procurement, prevailing wage requirements, change order management, and government contracting procedures. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule and budget objectives. Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
