Continuous Improvement and Process Management:
Analyze construction accounting processes and recommend improvements
Identify and implement efficiencies in workflows, systems, and reporting
Evaluate effectiveness of financial systems and recommend enhancements
Develop and track performance metrics related to service delivery, financial accuracy and operational efficiency
Assist in in the development and enhancement of policies and procedures related to construction accounting
Leadership:
Special Projects:
Contribute to special assignments and initiatives as needed to support departmental goals
Expected Salary:
$70k - $80k
Preferred:
This position requires a strong knowledge and understanding of State of Florida regulations and University policies. Higher education or governmental accounting experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with others; to understand, interpret, and apply applicable and sometimes complex rules, regulations, policies and procedures; to complete work according to scheduled deadlines; to work with limited supervision; to utilize problem solving techniques and to work independently.
Excellent customer service skills, including strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as the ability to work with individuals at multiple levels. Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings. Flexibility and adaptability dealing with various priorities
Must display a positive attitude and be a team player - must be able to thrive in a collaborative environment
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and make recommendations to improve processes and /or drive organizational change
Experience using financial systems (PeopleSoft, Workday, preferred)
