But as a result, currently used metrology systems in the semiconductor industry no longer meet process control requirements. Nearfield Instruments offers the solution in terms of speed, precision, and the capability of measuring the very latest, most complex 3D nanostructures. As a metrology application engineer, you will play a key role in identifying and meeting each customers metrology needs. Would you like to collaborate with the worlds leading chipmakers and get to see the results of your work in practice? Were growing, hiring.
What youre going to do?
In your role, you will help the customer get the most out of our products and represent the voice of the customer towards the central teams. You will assist the worlds leading chipmakers stay in control of their manufacturing processes by demonstrating the capabilities of our cutting-edge atomic force microscopy (AFM) systems on customer wafers. Your input will also contribute to R&D to meet future needs of our customers.
Your responsibilities include:
• Identifying our customers metrology needs, for which you will work closely with marketing and sales colleagues and attend meetings with customers. • Demonstrating the capabilities of our products, performing measurements on customer wafers, and analyzing the data generated. • Reporting and presenting your findings to our customers, showing the unique potential of our systems. • Creating measurement recipes in the customer fab, working closely with the customer. • You will also conduct tests to ensure that specifications are met and train the engineers and operators of our customers. • Taking lead to specify and investigate issues related to measurement and data processing, in collaboration with Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, and Development & Engineering colleagues to drive for issue resolution timely. • Working closely with colleagues in Development & Engineering and R&D to develop new measurement modes and metrology solutions, data processing algorithms, and improve user-friendliness and product performance. You will provide input based on your insights into our customers roadmaps, user experiences, and needs. • Demonstrating a customer-oriented attitude while performing responsibilities stated above.
Who Youll Be Working With
As a rapidly growing scale-up, we have no closely defined boundaries or hierarchy. We all work together to realize Nearfield Instruments growth strategy. What connects us is a drive to develop and build deeptech metrology solutions, enabling 5G connectivity, AI, autonomous mobility, and so much more. As an international team, we have different cultural backgrounds, which is why diversity and inclusion come naturally to us. Our combined identities and ambitions enrich our culture and make up our strength.
