Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

Unit Details: Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. RNs titrate drips, including analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. The unit uses remote telemonitoring. Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow, and ventilators.
Shift & Scheduling: Full- and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule, aligning with department needs, unit staffing plans, and ensuring equitable distribution among all staff. Call or standby requirements are determined by the nurse manager. Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if the first day modules are remote.
Floating Requirements: First to float as needed; in an extreme need, may float within Zone 4.
