We are seeking a Medical Support Program Manager to oversee the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Medical Support Assistant Services at the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center in Bethesda, MD.

So, what will the Medical Support Program Manager Terrestris do?

As the Medical Support Program Manager, you will manage the administrative and patient support operations that help clinical care and research activities run efficiently. You will supervise medical support staff, coordinate patient scheduling and records processes, ensure compliance with NIH policies, and improve workflow and customer service for patients, providers, and research teams. This role helps ensure the clinical center operates smoothly while supporting high-quality patient care and medical research. Normal working hours for this position will be from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. This position is contingent upon award of contract.

What does a typical day look like for the Medical Support Program Manager?

You will:

  • Monitor staffing coverage and attendance.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding.
  • Coordinate orientation and training.
  • Implement sign-in tracking systems.
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance evaluations.
  • Review and approving timecards.
  • Produce reports.
  • Support Medical Support Assistant functions as necessary, such as scheduling, patient admissions, patient records, and clinical support.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • Authorization to work in the United States permanently without sponsorship.
  • A High school diploma or GED. 
  • A minimum of (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting working directly with patients.
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge. 
  • Experience managing similar programs.
  • Strong communication, staffing management, training oversight, customer service, and supervisory skills.
