A veterinary clinic is seeking a Veterinary Medical Director to lead its medical team and support the continued growth of the practice. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to shape medical standards, mentor veterinarians, and drive high-quality patient care. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians who are passionate about leadership, team development, and delivering exceptional veterinary medicine in a collaborative environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care for patients
  • Lead and mentor the veterinary team to support clinical growth and development
  • Establish and uphold medical standards, protocols, and best practices
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on operations, workflow, and team performance
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment
  • Support staff training, coaching, and professional development
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure quality patient care
 

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active veterinary license
  • Previous leadership experience (e.g., Lead Veterinarian, Medical Director, or similar role) preferred
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
