Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Manage a small group of friendly staff
• Processing insurance claims to private insurance companies
• Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10 and DRG coding systems
• Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
• Enter all billing and payment information into the EHR/EMR system properly
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller / Certified Coder
• Strong knowledge of coding systems and billing procedures
• Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong organization skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• High level of integrity and commitment to patient privacy
• Maintains the highest level of professionalism
