Medical Assistant-MUST be X-Ray licensed and have ortho trauma experience (6 months or more)
  • Hourly Pay rate for each: Dependent on experience - $20 - $23
  • Client is our PACS system. Xrays will only be as needed. *****************
  • Dates you'll need each to start: TBD
  • Date assignment will end: Will hire if applicable
  • Schedule : FT Mon-Fri - lunch 12-1
  • Location(s) they will work at: Dallas only
  • How many providers they will support: 3-4 depending
  • They will not work alone-we have multiple MA's around
  • Patient volume they can anticipate daily(average so we find someone use to the pace) - 30+
  • EMR system: Centricity
  • Color of Scrubs to wear when selected for position: black

Regarding interview process:
**Virtual first, second in person
**Second interview will be panel of 2-3(OM, Lead and Supervisor)

Once selected will timecards hours be approved by you or someone else and if someone else, please share their email so that once candidate(s) are selected, we'll send them a link to set them up to approve time cards weekly as we pay our candidates every Friday. -

Per client: Any MA certification is fine, x-ray is not required. For the right person, if they are not certified I would be willing to work with them, but they would eventually need to be.

What you will do in this role:
" You will prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs - yes.
" You will prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization - yes.
" You will give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy - providers give injections, phlebotomy is very rare.
" You will assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals - no.
" You will answer telephone calls to the practice and screens for referral - only calls to the MA line.
Orthopedic-Specific Knowledge Often Needed
  • Familiarity with common conditions such as fractures, arthritis, joint replacements, rotator cuff injuries, sports injuries, and back pain
  • Knowledge of orthopedic terminology and anatomy
  • Understanding of braces, casts, splints, crutches, walkers, and other orthopedic equipment
  • Experience with workers' compensation and injury-related documentation

What Qualifications you will need:
" Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification
" Candidates with one year of medical work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within one year of hire date
" Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment
" Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred
