Join Our Community Health Clinic as a Bilingual Spanish Medical Assistant – Pediatrics & General Practice in Echo Park!

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to be a vital part of our community-focused clinic, serving pediatric and general practice patients.
In this role, you'll greet and assist patients, obtain vital signs, support medical procedures, administer immunizations, perform blood draws, and educate families on treatment plans—all while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. You’ll work out of one of our dynamic sites in Los Angeles, with a primary location in Echo Park, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference in your community.
Pay Rate: $24.00/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday / 8AM–5PM or 8:30AM-5:30PM (must be flexible to work on Saturdays)
Location: Echo Park, CA
Required Skills:
• Current Medical Assistant Certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• At least 1 year of experience in a busy medical setting
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
• Experience administering immunizations and performing venipuncture
• Knowledge of pediatric and adult clinical procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or OB/GYN
• Prior work in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health clinic
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Strong understanding of infection control and clinical best practices
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Certification as a Medical Assistant
• Minimum one year working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
• Experience supporting pediatric populations
Other Requirements:
• Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, based on assigned site
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare setting
• No COVID vaccination required
