    Summary:

    Turtle Beach is seeking a curious, creative, and collaborative Mechanical Engineer to help bring high-quality gaming products to life. In this role, you will lead the mechanical design and development of gaming peripherals that solve real problems for gamers and help shape the experience of millions of users worldwide.

    • Design leadership: Drive mechanical design from concept through development, validation, and production readiness.
    • Product quality: Help ensure Turtle Beach gaming gear meets high standards for quality, reliability, and performance.
    • Customer impact: Support the delivery of robust, high-performance gaming peripherals that enhance the player experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead the mechanical design and development of HID products, including keyboards and mice, from concept through mass production.
    • Create, review, and maintain 3D and 2D mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
    • Conduct DFM, DFA, and DFMEA reviews to ensure reliability, manufacturability, quality, and compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze and resolve mechanical issues during EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production phases.
    • Assist Project Management team in BOM creation, review, and cost-optimization activities.
    • Audit and manage mechanical suppliers and manufacturing partners, including tooling reviews, process validation, mold-flow analysis, and first article inspection.
    • Partner with EE, ID, FW, PM, and SQE teams throughout the product development cycle.
    • Drive innovation in product structure, materials, mechanisms, and user experience while supporting improvements to mechanical design standards, processes, and best practices.

    Education/Experience/Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of mechanical design experience for Engineer level or 8+ years for Senior level.
    • Consumer electronics experience is required; HID product experience is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of plastic injection molding, metal stamping, die casting, and surface finishing processes.
    • Hands-on experience with keyboard and mouse structures, including switches, key mechanisms, buttons, scroll wheels, and assemblies.
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo, or NX for 3D CAD; AutoCAD for 2D drawings; and BOM management, tolerance analysis, and stack-up analysis.
    • Knowledge of EVT, DVT, and PVT development processes, with experience working with overseas suppliers and conducting supplier audits.
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
