Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, engineering, and coordination of multiple machine projects in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks CAD design, plastics extrusion and converting machinery, manufacturing documentation, and BOM development.

This position requires close coordination with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams and the ability to manage multiple concurrent Engineer-to-Order (ETO) machinery projects with minimal onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.

• Support the engineering and development of plastics extrusion and converting machinery.

• Coordinate multiple concurrent machine projects from design through manufacturing.

• Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Utilize PDM/PLM systems to manage engineering data, drawings, revisions, and product information.

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams.

• Coordinate engineering activities and provide onsite support for machine projects.

• Review designs for manufacturability, functionality, and compliance with project requirements.

• Support Engineer-to-Order (ETO) machinery development and customization.

• Resolve design and manufacturing issues in coordination with cross-functional teams.

• Track project activities, engineering deliverables, and documentation requirements.

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and provide timely project updates.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.

• Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks CAD design.

• 4+ years of experience with plastics extrusion and converting equipment.

• Strong experience with manufacturing documentation and BOMs.

• Experience with PDM/PLM systems.

• Experience supporting multiple concurrent machine projects.

• Experience with Engineer-to-Order (ETO) machinery.

• Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding.

Work Environment
