Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline, with a Master's degree often preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience, with a strong focus on sustaining engineering or product support.
Experience with Mechanical Design.
GD&T knowledge and application.
CAD (SolidWorks) modelling and drafting.
Making changes to products (updating BoMs, drawings, models) & working in a PDM system.
With Solid Mechanics, Structural Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Threads, Erosion, Materials, Secondary Processes, Static and Dynamic Seal Applications, Dynamics.
Responsibilities:

To review concessions, perform form-fit-function analysis and provide dispositions.
To create appropriate test plans to evaluate new design / design changes and coordinate with testing facilities.
Develop and/or modify designs related to Oil & gas components by analyzing product specifications, performance requirements, and existing manufacturing capabilities.
Checking all components of an assembly will assemble and function properly.
Design for Manufacturing Review and drawings reviewed for manufacturing feasibility.
Creating parametric 3D Models, Assembly and 2D drawings as per Customer and ASME standards using SolidWorks.
Knowledge of GD&T and Tolerance stack-up analysis.
Implementation of Electronic change request (ECR) which involves modification of Drawings, BOM, procedures accordingly.
Knowledge in processing Request for Technical Assistance (RTA).
Updating documentation through Revision control, Product Attribute control, and Change Descriptions.
Adhere to process checkpoints to ensure design/customer standards are followed.
