Location: Hillsboro OR 97124

Shift: First Shift 06:00 AM To 02:30 PM

Summary
The Material Handler provides shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment. The role requires accurate and timely handling of products, receiving and verifying materials, operating warehouse equipment safely, maintaining inventory accuracy, and following established procedures while working in various temperature-controlled environments.
Responsibilities
  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage or shipment.
  • Receive materials and finished goods and verify quantity, type, quality, and documentation.
  • Ensure customers receive the correct products on time.
  • Safely operate distribution equipment and powered industrial trucks.
  • Follow shipping, receiving, inventory control, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate work and meet established schedules and team metrics.
  • Support daily warehouse operations and order fulfillment.
  • Handle packaged hazardous materials when required.
  • Maintain strong attendance and report to work on time.
  • Work varying shifts, schedules, and overtime as needed.
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 2 years of related warehouse or logistics experience.
  • Life science logistics experience preferred.
  • Ability to independently follow policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks.
  • Comfortable operating equipment at various heights and working at heights.
  • Basic computer skills for ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.
  • QAD ERP experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret team metrics.
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, lift up to 45 lbs continuously, and push or pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly climb and work primarily while standing.
  • Flexibility to work any shift, varying schedules, and overtime as needed.
  • Stand-up forklift, order picker, and stand-up pallet jack experience preferred.
