Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a hard working and reliable Sawyer, for a client located in Oregon City, Oregon.
ROLE PURPOSE
Produce accurate, on-spec cut parts safely and on schedule so downstream production can operate without delays, rework, or preventable material waste.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Operation
Set up and operate Schilling Beam Saw per job specifications, loading and positioning materials correctly
Adjust blade and fence positions as needed for quality and to account for material variation
Quality & Accuracy
Verify cuts meet specification dimensions and tolerances; flag out-of-spec parts before they move downstream
Inspect parts before moving to next operation
Equipment Maintenance & Safety
Conduct equipment safety checks at start of shift; keep equipment clean and maintained
Monitor blade wear and flag for replacement (coordinate scheduling with Foreman)
Adhere to beam saw safety procedures
Report any equipment problems to Foreman immediately
Communication
Coordinate with Material Handler on material flow
Report sawing, accuracy, or equipment issues to Foreman immediately; provide status updates on production runs

$19 - $24/hr
Monday - Friday
6:00am - 2:30pm
