    Project Overview:

    Project Cardinal is a major semiconductor manufacturing project in New Albany, Ohio, being delivered by Bechtel''s Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) business unit for Intel. Bechtel is providing engineering, procurement, and construction services for one of the largest semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States.

    Job Summary:

    In this role, you will support material planning and/or material coordination for a small to medium project site. Planning activities will include clear identification of required materials, and details for how they will be stored and shipped. Coordination activities will include reporting of material work package statuses for installation. Your efforts will support adequate and accurate materials and equipment at the jobsite.

    Please note: This role will be based at the sub-contractor''s facility in Indianapolis, Indiana.

    Major Responsibilities:

    Material Coordination

    • Performs material coordination activities at a jobsite within material discipline of responsibility to ensure the accurate reporting of material and equipment work package statuses for installation
    • Monitors planned inventory control mechanisms, such as min-max and bag-and-tag and uses Digital Supply Chain tools
    • Continuously performs priority allocations to ensure material availability well in advance of installation requirements
    • Coordinates material availability in support of design revisions, rework, contingency or work-around plans
    • Participates in Construction and/or Subcontractor planning meetings to be fully aware of changes in installation plans and priorities
    • Coordinates with warehouse personnel for materials to be issued direct to the installation area, as opposed to being controlled in storage
    • Coordinates the constructability look ahead meetings
    • Prepares the site constructability reports as inclusive of 30, 60, and 90-day lookaheads

    Material Planning

    • Verifies that material requisitions clearly identify required pay items and reflect a level of detail in which materials will be shipped and identified for storage and control prior to distribution to Construction for installation
    • Coordinates material planning activities for a material discipline area of responsibility
    • Maintains direct working relationship with Project Controls, Discipline Engineers, Supply Chain, Automation Support and/or Construction Coordinator to ensure that construction personnel are provided with materials to support the completion of the construction work
    • Monitors Engineering and Supply Chain deliverable schedules to meet the construction schedule
    • Monitors materials components aspects of the project Automation Plan related data transfers between the functional groups with respect to assigned discipline area of responsibility

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    Requires bachelor''s degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate field material activities and accurately track material and equipment work package status to support construction and installation schedules.
    • Knowledge of inventory control processes, including min-max replenishment, bag-and-tag methodologies, and Digital Supply Chain systems and tools.
    • Strong planning and prioritization skills with the ability to allocate materials proactively to ensure availability ahead of installation requirements.
    • Ability to collaborate across project teams to support material needs arising from design changes, rework activities, contingency planning, and work-around solutions.
