Job Title:         Material Coordinator II 

Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration:         12 Months – Possible Extension/Conversion
Location:         East Moline, IL 61244
Shift:                3rd Shift | Sunday–Thursday | 9:30 PM–6:00 AM
Overtime:         May be required if requested by the client
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Job Summary

Coordinate the flow, availability, and accuracy of materials across multiple factory departments to support uninterrupted production. Work closely with production, shipping/receiving, supervisors, and material-handling teams.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

·         Coordinate procuring, expediting, producing, and delivering materials on time.

·         Ensure production teams have the required parts and materials.

·         Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve material shortages or inventory errors.

·         Coordinate material movement across multiple departments, including shipping and receiving.

·         Manage the movement of rejected materials back to the source.

·         Review production schedules and determine material requirements.

·         Identify overdue materials and track material availability.

·         Use the Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules.

·         Process inbound/outbound material transactions.

·         Audit material replenishment cycles and accuracy.

·         Create and support material replenishment plans.

·         Work critical shortage reports and expedite parts to prevent production delays.

·         Identify root causes of material shortages and recommend solutions.

·         Implement engineering releases and change-management requirements.

·         Maintain manual or computerized material and inventory records.

·         May provide work direction to material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

·         Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

·         Excellent communication skills.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.

·         Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

·         Ability to work with production schedules, inventory, and material requirements.

 

Desired Skills

·         SAP experience is a plus.

·         Power BI experience is a plus.

·         SharePoint experience is a plus.

 

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is encouraged but not required.
