Location: Richmond, VA or McLean, VA or New York, NY

Duration: 1 year assignment, potential for extension or conversion

Client Industry: Fortune 100 Financial Services (Travel, Dining, & Entertainment Product Line)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented, high-caliber Art Director on behalf of our client—a Fortune 100 leader in financial services. In this role, you will lead the visual narrative for a premier product portfolio focused on travel, dining, and lifestyle experiences.

The ideal candidate bridges high-level strategic concepting with detail-oriented execution across digital and traditional touchpoints. You will be instrumental in maintaining enterprise-level standards while evolving unique, premium creative expressions across multi-channel campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Development & Visual Design:

    • Design compelling brand identities and visual brand systems across social, web, out-of-home (OOH), and print channels.

    • Oversee and execute premium photography and video concepts; comfortable bringing ideas to life hands-on or through directing agency/production partners.

    • Maintain, enforce, and evolve enterprise-level brand standards across existing and emerging product offerings.

  • Strategic Collaboration & Ideation:

    • Partner closely with copywriters, creative directors, marketing leaders, and internal standards teams to deliver integrated, performance-driven campaigns.

    • Translate complex briefs and business goals into creative solutions that cut through the noise and elevate the brand.

    • Leverage performance data and consumer insights to inform creative decisions and push conceptual boundaries.

    • Confidently articulate and present creative strategy to key stakeholders across diverse leadership levels.

  • Execution & Delivery:

    • Manage multiple concurrent project streams with high autonomy and precise attention to detail.

    • Adapt efficiently between complex strategic initiatives and fast-turn tactical executions.

    • Incorporate feedback constructively while maintaining rigorous quality standards and tight project deadlines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience.

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional design experience spanning integrated marketing channels.

  • Technical Skills: 3+ years of expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).

  • Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating strong visual strategy, concepting, and multi-channel design execution is required for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior design experience within luxury, travel, lifestyle, or financial services industries.

  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, or operating within enterprise-level design systems and guidelines.

  • Familiarity with motion graphics, video direction, or lightweight animation.
